Abstract:
This optical system (100) is provided with a prism (12) and a diffracting optical element (12). Also, the prism (12) has a non-rotationally-symmetric aspheric surface that corrects eccentric aberration, and the diffracting optical element (13) includes a diffracting optical surface (DM) having a lattice structure that is asymmetrical around the optical axis (Ax) of the optical system (100). Considering the refractive index difference of the diffracting optical surface (DM) at the e-line (546.074 nm) to be ΔNe, the following condition is satisfied: 0.53 > ΔNe > 0.005.
