Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a high-resolution optical system that is small, has a wide observation angle-of-view, and has F-θ characteristics for the overall optical system which includes a rear group; and an image pickup device. [Solution] The present invention is characterized by the following: an optical system 1 comprises a front group Gf which is rotationally symmetrical with respect to a single rotationally symmetric axis C that passes through the center of an image surface Im, a back group Gb which is rotationally symmetrical with respect to the rotationally symmetric axis C, and an opening Op; the front group Gf includes a first reflective surface Lf1 and a second reflective surface Lf2; light beams which are incident on the front group Gf from the object surface are reflected to the object side by the first reflective surface Lf1 the convex surface of which faces the object side and which has a negative refractive power, form a light path which is reflected to the image side by the second reflective surface Lf2 without intersecting the rotationally symmetric axis, and pass through the rear group Gb and the opening Op; incident light beams which are incident on the front group Gf form an image at a position which is separated from the rotationally symmetric axis C of the image surface Im, without forming an intermediate image within a cross-section including the rotationally symmetric axis C; and the entire optical system satisfies the following conditional formula (1). (1): Y=A+F×θ. In the conditional formula: Y is the distance from the rotationally symmetric axis C in the Y-Z plane; A is any positive constant, F=h/β0; F is the focal length of the entire optical system 1; h is the distance between center main light rays Lc entering from the angle-of-view center of the optical system 1 and subordinate light rays Ls incident on the optical system 1, parallel to the center main light rays Lc; β0 is an angle formed by the center main light rays Lc incident on the image surface from the final surface of the optical system 1 and the subordinate light rays Ls; and θ is the angle of incidence of the center main light rays Lc incident on the optical system 1.
