Abstract:
An optical to digital converter of the present invention comprises: multiple optical to digital conversion units each of which performs delta sigma conversion on a photodiode voltage generated from an unbiased photodiode to generate a first clock signal, and outputs a unit output signal obtained by synchronizing the first clock signal with a second clock signal that is a reference clock signal; and an adder for summing the unit output signal of each of the multiple optical to digital conversion units, and outputting a digital output signal.
