Abstract:
This optical transmission system is provided with: first and second optical transmission units that respectively transmit first and second optical signals respectively obtained by conversion of first and second multi-channel signals by an FM batch conversion scheme; a carrier monitoring function unit that monitors carrier signals included in the respective optical signals; an output adjusting unit that adjusts the signal intensity of each of the optical signals that are output; a multiplexer that outputs a multiplexed signal of the optical signals; an amplifier that amplifies the multiplexed signal; and first and second optical reception units that respectively receive the optical signals included in the amplified multiplexed signal. The output adjusting unit adjusts the signal intensity of each of the optical signals such that the signal intensities in the respective optical reception units are a predetermined value or more. The carrier monitoring function unit updates the predetermined value on the basis of a minimum light reception sensitivity calculated from the amount of frequency shift in the carrier signal included in each optical signal.
