Abstract:
This optical transmission system is provided with: a first optical transmission unit which transmits a first optical signal having a first wavelength; a second optical transmission unit which transmits a second optical signal having a second wavelength; an output adjusting unit which acquires the first optical signal and the second optical signal, and outputs the respective optical signals after adjusting the signal intensities thereof; a multiplexer which multiplexes the first optical signal and the second optical signal having the adjusted signal intensities, and which outputs a multiplexed signal; an amplifier which amplifies the multiplexed signal; a first optical reception unit which receives the amplified first optical signal; and a second optical reception unit which receives the amplified second optical signal. The output adjusting unit adjusts the signal intensities of the first optical signal and the second optical signal so that the first optical signal received by the first optical reception unit has a signal intensity greater than or equal to a first predetermined value, and so that the second optical signal received by the second optical reception unit has a signal intensity greater than or equal to a second predetermined value.
