Abstract:
An optical transmission system (100) is characterized by comprising: a multi-core optical fiber (2001) having a first core (2100) and a second core (2200); and a plurality of optical transmission devices (1000), (1100) that output different types of modulated signals at different optical powers for the same wavelength to the first core (2100) and the second core (2200). According to the optical transmission system (100), it is possible to effectively utilize available bandwidth while suppressing signal degradation due to inter-core crosstalk in the multi-core optical fiber (2001).
