Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a data replication unit for replicating a symbol-mapped signal for each lane and setting the number of lanes to a first number of lanes; a waveform conversion unit for converting the data of each lane from the waveform of a signal that can assume a second number of types of value to the waveform of a signal that can assume a third number of types of value greater than the second number; a polarity inversion unit for inverting the polarity of the signals of one or more lanes among the lanes for which the number of values that can be assumed by a signal have been converted; a lane change unit for changing lanes in the case of two or more lanes; and an optical signal generator for converting the signal of each lane inputted from the lane change unit from an electrical signal to an optical signal, combining the optical signals of the lanes, and outputting the combined signal.
