Abstract:
The present invention relates to an optical treatment probe comprising: a core to which incident light is guided; a cladding arranged so as to encompass the core; a side emission portion formed so as to be connected to the core and emitting the incident light guided to the core toward a side surface of a cylinder; a diffusion layer arranged so as to encompass the side emission portion; an end emission portion connected to the side emission portion, formed in a spherical shape, and emitting, to the outside, the incident guide guided to the side emission portion; and a sheath arranged so as to encompass the cladding and the diffusion layer, and sealing the cladding and the diffusion layer, wherein a refractive index of the cladding is lower than a refractive index of the core, a refractive index of the diffusion layer is higher than the refractive index of the core, and a refractive index of the sheath is higher than the refractive indices of the cladding and the diffusion layer.
