Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an optical unit which is lighter and more compact and which drives a movable part forwards and backwards using a voice coil motor; and to provide an endoscope. [Solution] This optical unit is characterized by being provided with a fixed part (2) which has a cylindrical shape centered on a prescribed axis (C), a front frame part (4) which holds a front lens group (Gf) and which is centered on the axis (C) and attached to the object side of the fixed part (2), a back frame part (5) which holds a back lens group (Gb) and which is centered on the axis (C) and attached to the image side of the fixed part (2), a movable part (3) which holds a movable lens group (Gv) and which is centered on the axis (C) and arranged inside of the fixed part (2), and a voice coil motor (10) which, by means of a coil (11) arranged on the fixed part (2) and magnets (12) arranged on the movable part (3) and magnetically polarized in a direction perpendicular to the axis (C), enables moving the movable part (3) in the direction of the axis (C) with respect to the fixed part (2), wherein at least part of the movable part (3) is included in the area onto which the front frame part (4) is projected in the direction of the axis (C).
