Abstract:
This optical unit (100) comprises: an optical sensor (1); a protective cover (12) arranged in the view field direction of the optical sensor (1); a drive unit (13) that drives the protective cover (12); and a housing unit (20) provided with a gap (30) from the protective cover (12), the housing unit (20) attaching the optical sensor (1) and the protective cover (12). A first region of the housing unit (20) that is adjacent to the outer edge of the protective cover (12) with the gap (30) therebetween is configured so as to be a hydrophobic region (21) in which the contact angle of water droplets is greater than or equal to a prescribed angle.
