Abstract:
Provided is an optical unit which can normally detect an inclination angle of a movable body, and correctly perform shake correction in accordance with the inclination angle of the movable body. The optical unit comprises: a movable body including an optical module; a fixed body for holding the movable body in a displaceable state; and a shake correction driving mechanism for driving the movable body around a first axis line intersecting the optical axis direction of the optical module, and around a second axis line intersecting the optical axis direction and the first axis line. The shake correction driving mechanism is composed of a coil provided on one of the movable body and the fixed body, a magnet provided on the other thereof, and a magnetic sensor that is provided on the one of the movable body and the fixed body and that detects the inclination of the movable body. The magnetic sensor is disposed, in a direction intersecting the optical axis, at a distance with respect to the magnet so as to satisfy a relationship in which the absolute value of an output value of the magnetic sensor, output in accordance with the inclination angle of the movable body inclining with respect to the fixed body, increases by a prescribed amount or greater for every one of certain inclination angles of the movable body.
