Abstract:
In an optical wavelength multiplexing transmission system provided with a redundant configuration constituted by an operational system and a reserve system between a first terminal apparatus and a second terminal apparatus, the first terminal apparatus is provided with: a light source that outputs dummy light; a coupler that inserts the dummy light into the reserve system; and a control unit that changes the dummy light. The second terminal apparatus is provided with: a coupler that extracts the dummy light from the reserve system; and a detector that detects the extracted dummy light. In accordance with a detection result from the detector, a path of the reserve system is determined between the first terminal apparatus and the second terminal apparatus, and the normality of the reserve system is confirmed.
