Abstract:
Disclosed is an optically active helical polymer containing a unit represented by the formula (1) below. Also disclosed is a chiral polymer catalyst. (1) (In the formula, R1-R4 independently represent a group selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an optionally substituted linear or branched alkyl group, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having an unsaturated double bond, a cyclic alkyl group, an aryl group, an aromatic heterocyclic group, an aliphatic heterocyclic group, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, a carboxyl group, an amino group, an alkoxyl group, a carbamoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group and a perfluoroalkyl group; and at least one of them is a group which has a moiety capable of forming a coordinate bond with a metal. Alternatively, R1-R4 may be the same or different from one another, and R1 and R3, R3 and R4, or R4 and R2 may respectively combine together and form a ring.)
