Abstract:
The optimum control device according to one embodiment of the present invention has a gradient estimation unit and a correction unit. The gradient estimation unit estimates, on the basis of an evaluation amount observed with regard to a process to be controlled, a gradient indicative of the change rate of an evaluation function that describes said evaluation amount and that is unknown with respect to an operation amount. On the basis of the gradient estimate value acquired by the gradient estimation unit, the correction unit corrects, adaptively to the change in the evaluation function, the evaluation amount, the operation amount, or a control parameter necessary for execution of extremum control on the to-be-controlled process.
