Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is an oral irrigator. The oral irrigator comprises a plunger pump device for pumping a fluid. The plunger pump device comprises: a piston cylinder, wherein a piston cavity is formed by means of the enclosure of a side wall of the piston cylinder; a piston, which is arranged in the piston cavity for reciprocating movement and has a first end and a second end opposite the first end; and a sealing member, which is connected to the piston cylinder in a sealing manner. A first cavity is formed by means of the enclosure of the piston, a first portion of the side wall of the piston cylinder, and the sealing member; a second cavity is formed by means of the enclosure of the piston, and a second portion of the side wall of the piston cylinder; the first cavity and the second cavity are respectively located at two opposite ends of the piston; and a first through hole connecting the first cavity to the exterior of the first cavity in a communicating manner is provided, and as the pressure of the first cavity is alternated with the reciprocating movement of the piston in the piston cavity, the fluid in the first cavity can flow out of the first cavity by means of the first through hole. By means of the oral irrigator of the present invention, the waterproofing effect is improved, and therefore the service life of the sealing member is ensured.
