Abstract:
The present invention enables order-preserving encryption using simpler algorithms while maintaining the guarantee of security. This order-preserving encryption system is equipped with an encryption means (1) that, upon receiving a plaintext as input, generates an order-preserved cipher in accordance with a predetermined probability distribution which is generated on the basis of values determined from the plaintext and on the basis of a set generated from a plaintext space included in a secret key using a uniform distribution, or a key to a predetermined pseudo-random function, said probability distribution representing a conditional probability in the form of a binomial distribution.
