Abstract:
A novel organic compound. Specifically, a novel organic compound that is effective in improving element characteristics and reliability. An organic compound that has a condensed ring structure on a carbazole skeleton and is represented by general formula (G1). (In the formula, ring A1 and ring A2 are represented by formula (1a) and are condensed onto the adjacent rings at arbitrary positions, and ring B is represented by formula (1b) and represents a 5-membered ring that is condensed onto the adjacent rings at the positions indicated by a or b. In formula (1b), X represents oxygen, sulfur, or a substituted or unsubstituted carbon. Ar1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted C6–14 aryl group, and when said aryl group is substituted, the substituents may bond with each other to form a ring.)
