Abstract:
Provided is a novel compound. Also provided is a light emitting element with good light emission efficiency and element longevity. The organic compound represented by general formula (G2), in which a benz[a]anthracene skeleton is bonded to the 2-position of an anthracene skeleton. In general formula (G2), each of R1-R3, R5-R12, and R21-R29 independently represents hydrogen, a C1-6 alkyl group, a C3-6 cycloalkyl group, or a C6-13 substituted or unsubstituted aryl group that forms a ring. One aspect of the present invention is a light emitting element that has said compound.
