Abstract:
An organic EL device comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode and, interposed therebetween, a laminate structure of organic films including at least a luminescent layer, a hole transport layer adjacent to the positive electrode side of the luminescent layer and an electron transport layer adjacent to the negative electrode side of the luminescent layer, wherein at least one of the organic films constituting the laminate structure contains a metal element exhibiting reactivity with water or oxygen.
