Abstract:
Provided is a new organic EL device with which it is possible, for example, for a user to adjust the color of an organic EL panel. An organic EL device (10) is characterized by including: an organic EL panel (16); an elliptical reflector (31); a phosphor (32); and a laser (51), wherein the organic EL panel (16) includes a substrate (11) and an organic EL element (13), the substrate (11) includes at least one incident part (15) to which external light is incident, the elliptical reflector (31) is disposed outside of the organic EL panel (16) such that the phosphor (32) is disposed at a first focus point thereof and the incident part (15) on the substrate (11) is positioned at a second focus point thereof, the laser (51) is disposed outside of the organic EL panel (16) such that the phosphor (32) can be irradiated with laser light, the light emitted by the phosphor (32) is incident to the substrate (11) from the incident part (15), and the light emitted by the phosphor (32) and incident to the substrate (11) propagates in the planar direction of the substrate (11).
