Abstract:
This organic EL display device (1) has, as pixels, a blue organic EL element (10B) and a red organic EL element (10R), respectively, wherein: the blue organic EL element (10B) and the red organic EL element (10R) each have, in the following order, a light reflecting layer (2), a transparent electrode (3), a hole transport band (4), a light emitting layer (5), an electron transport band (6), and a semitransparent electrode (7); the blue organic EL element (10B) has a blue light emitting layer (5B) including a fluorescent compound FLB; the red organic EL element (10R) has a red light emitting layer (5R) including a delayed fluorescent compound DFR; the hole transport band (4) is provided over both the organic EL elements (10B, 10R) with the same film thickness; the red organic EL element (10R) has a resonator structure having a first-order interference between the light reflecting layer (2) and the semitransparent electrode (7); the film thickness of the red light emitting layer (5R) is less than 50 nm; and the sum of the film thicknesses of the transparent electrode (3) and the hole transport band (4) in each of the organic EL elements (10B, 10R) is less than 40 nm.
