This translucent substrate is provided with: a transparent supporting substrate; and a light extraction layer having a glass material, which is formed on the transparent supporting substrate, and which has a first refractive index within a range of 1.6-2.2 on a D-line, and a scattered material, which has a second refractive index different from the first refractive index on the D-line. On the surface of the light extraction layer, substantially pyramidal protrusions, each of which has one apex, or protrusions, each of which has a substantially triangular prism shape having one apex side, are formed. At least one angle (Φ) is within a range of 10-60°, said angle being among the angles formed by the base and other sides of a substantially triangle obtained on a perpendicular cross-section passing the apex of the protrusion or a cross-section perpendicular to the apex side of the protrusion.
