Abstract:
An organic electroluminescence device (1) comprises a cathode (10), an anode (20), and an organic layer (30), which is formed between the cathode (10) and the anode (20) and includes at least a light-emitting layer (32) and an electron transport layer (34). An electron transport material constituting the electron transport layer (34) and having the slowest electron mobility has an electron mobility of 2.0 × 10-5 cm2/Vs or more at an electric field intensity of 0.4 MV/cm to 0.5 MV/cm. When the ratio of the electron mobility to the hole mobility of a host material constituting the light-emitting layer (32) is denoted by ΔEM and the ratio of the electron mobility to the hole mobility of the electron transport material constituting the electron transport layer (34) and having the slowest electron mobility is denoted by ΔET, the organic electroluminescence device satisfies the following relationships: ΔET > 1, 0.3 ≤ ΔEM ≤ 10, and ΔET > ΔEM.
