Abstract:

Disclosed is an organic EL display apparatus including: a main substrate (101); a display unit including a red light emitting layer (111), a green light emitting layer (112), a blue light emitting layer (113) and a bank (104) provided above the main substrate; a blue filter (107) that is provided above the display unit and that selectively transmits blue light while selectively absorbing green light and red light; and a red filter (108) that is provided above the display unit and that selectively transmits red light while selectively absorbing blue light and green light. The blue filter (107) has apertures in positions corresponding to the red light emitting layer (111) and green light emitting layer (112), and the red filter (108) has apertures in positions corresponding to the green light emitting layer (112) and the blue light emitting layer (113).
