Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/011954
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An organic electroluminescence element using a compound represented by general formula (1) in a light-emitting layer exhibits a high emission efficiency and is inexpensive to manufacture. (1) At least one of R1 through R8 and R17 represents an electron-donating group, with the rest representing hydrogen atoms; at least one of R9 through R16 represents an electron-withdrawing group that does not have an unshared electron pair in the alpha-position, with the rest representing hydrogen atoms; Z represents a single bond or >C=Y; Y represents oxygen, sulfur, C(CN)2, or C(COOH)2; and if Z represents a single bond, at least one of R9 through R16 represents an electron-withdrawing group that does not have an unshared electron pair in the alpha-position.
