Abstract:
This organic electroluminescence element is provided with: a substrate (1); a light-emitting laminated body (10) disposed on one surface of the substrate (1); a sealing base material (6) disposed so as to oppose the surface of the substrate (1); and a sealing joint (7) provided surrounding the light-emitting laminated body (10), the sealing joint (7) adapted for sealing the sealing material (6), the substrate (1), and the light-emitting laminated body (10) by joining the sealing material (6) and the substrate (1). The sealing joint (7) contains an adhesive layer (9) and a low-moisture-transmission layer (8), the low-moisture-transmission layer (8) having a lower moisture-transmission rate than the adhesive layer (9) and high thickness.
