Abstract:
An organic EL device comprises an electron transporting layer which contains at least a first organic compound and a second organic compound. The first organic compound has an electron mobility higher than that of the second organic compound. The second organic compound has a glass transition temperature higher than that of the first organic compound. Consequently, the organic EL has a long life and a high luminous efficiency. The first organic compound is preferably a silole derivative and the second organic compound is preferably a quinolinolato metal complex.
