Title:
ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/030159
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to highly reliable organic electroluminescent materials and organic electroluminescent devices which exhibit high luminance and high light emitting efficiency, little cause luminous deterioration, and are excellent in usability and shelf stability at high temperature. An organic electroluminescent device according to the invention contains an electroluminescent material consisting of a triarylamine derivative of the general formula (1) in at least one of the interlayers put between an anode and a cathode including light emitting layer, hole transport layer, hole injection layer and so on: (1) wherein Ar¿1? to Ar¿3? are each substituted or unsubstituted aryl, with the proviso that at least one of them is a 9-phenanthryl group of the general formula (2): (2) (wherein R¿1? to R¿9? are each H, halogeno, alkyl, aralkyl, alkenyl, cyano, acyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkoxy, or the like).
