Abstract:
Provided is an organic electroluminescent element which has excellent luminous efficiency, excellent durability, low driving voltage and small voltage increase over time. The organic electroluminescent element comprises, on a substrate, a pair of electrodes, namely a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and at least one organic layer including a light emitting layer arranged between the electrodes. At least one of the organic layers contains a specific triphenylene compound (for example, one of the compounds represented by formulae).
