Abstract:
Provided is an organic electroluminescent element (1), wherein a light-emitting region (5) includes a first light-emitting layer (51) that includes a first host material and a first light-emissive compound and a second light-emitting layer (52) that includes a second host material and a second light-emissive compound, a hole transport band (6) includes one or more organic layers, at least one of the organic layers in the hole transport band (6) is a first organic layer (51) that is in direct contact with the light-emitting region (5), the first organic layer 51 includes a hole transport band material, the hole transport band (6) is in direct contact with a positive electrode (3) and the light-emitting region (5), a triplet energy T1(H1) of the first host material and T1(H2) of the second host material satisfy the relationship of mathematical formula 1, and an ionization potential Ip(HT) of the hole transport band material and Ip(D1) of the first light-emissive compound satisfy the relationship of mathematical formula 1X. (Mathematical formula 1): T1(H1) > T1(H2)
(Mathematical formula 1X): Ip(D1) - Ip(HT) < -0.05eV
