Abstract:
Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent element in which an inorganic compound layer used as a functional layer (103) is formed to have a concentration gradient of two kinds of metal compounds, so that sufficient environmental resistance and solvent resistance can be achieved in the following processes. The organic electroluminescent element has a good balance among high luminous efficiency, high emission luminance and long life.
Specifically disclosed is an organic electroluminescent element which comprises a substrate (101), a first electrode (102) that is provided on the substrate, a light-emitting medium layer (105) that is provided on the first electrode and includes at least an organic light-emitting layer (104) and one or more functional layers (103), and a second electrode (106) that faces the first electrode (102) with the light-emitting medium layer (105) being interposed therebetween. The organic EL element is characterized in that one or more functional layers (103), which are formed between the first electrode (102) and the organic light-emitting layer (104), have a film in which two kinds of metal compounds are mixed and the mixing ratio of a first metal compound and a second metal compound is regularly changed in the film thickness direction.
