Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a flexible organic electroluminescent element that has higher characteristics at a lower cost. In particular, the present invention aims to solve at least one of the problem of improvement of the service life with driving at a low voltage and the problem of the achievement of an organic electroluminescent element that has good luminescence and excellent stability in the atmosphere. The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescent element which comprises at least a pair of electrodes and an organic layer that is arranged between the electrodes, and which is characterized in that: a metal species that is capable of forming a coordinate bond and an organic material are respectively contained in a metal electron injection layer and an organic electron injection layer, which are adjacent to the negative electrode; and the metal electron injection layer and the organic electron injection layer are configured in this order.
