This organic EL element has two blue light emitting units, and has, in the emission spectrum thereof, one or two peak wavelengths in a blue light wavelength range of 440nm-490nm. In this organic EL element, the correlated color temperature of white light is 3300K or greater, R6 is 60 or greater, and R12 is 30 or greater.
