The method for producing an organic electroluminescent element having a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light-emitting layer provided between said first electrode and said second electrode, said light-emitting layer containing an organic film, is characterized by containing a step in which a solution containing an organic compound is applied to the surface of the layer positioned beneath said light-emitting layer, and said organic film is formed in a dark location.
