Title:
ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENTS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1994/022974
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The first organic electroluminescent element is provided with a low-molecular 1,2,4-triazole derivative layer; the second element has a carrier transport control layer for selectively transporting holes or electrons, which layer is interposed between an electron transport layer and a hole transport layer; the third element comprises a laminate of an electron transport with a hole-transport luminescent layer wherein a coloring matter is dispersed in a polymer on the molecular level; the fourth element is provided with a layer containing a high-molecular 1,2,4-triazole derivative as the hole transport material; and the fifth element is provided with a layer wherein a hole transport material is dispersed in a high-molecular 1,2,4-triazole derivative on the molecular level. These elements are excellent in luminous efficacy, luminance and stability, and permit blue luminescence, primary multi-color luminescence, and white luminescence.
