Abstract:
Conventionally, it has been difficult to cause discharge at high current density because of the problems such as a low conductivity of the electrolyte and slow lithium ion occlusion/release reaction by the negative electrode. According to the invention, the ratio between the positive electrode active material and the negative electrode active material is controlled so that 0.05≤a/b≤0.30 can be satisfied where a(mAh) is the cell capacity of when the capacitor is discharged for 1±0.25 hours from the changed state to a voltage equal to a half of the charging voltage and b(mAh) is the negative electrode capacity of when the charged negative electrode is discharged to 1.5 V (Li/Li+). This results in realizing an organic electrolytic capacitor such that it has a low internal resistance and exhibits a small internal resistance variation during charging/discharging, migration of lithium ions is easy, the output density is high, and its performance is high.
