This organic hydride preparation system 1 comprises: an electrolytic bath 2 having a cathode room 18; a cathode liquid supply device 8 which can supply, to the cathode room 18, any cathode liquid selected from a plurality of cathode liquids having different concentrations of a substance to be hydrogenated; and a control device 10 which controls the cathode liquid supply device 8 to supply, to the cathode room 18, a cathode liquid having a specific concentration of the substance to be hydrogenated determined according to the magnitude of a current flowing through the electrolytic bath 2.
