Title:
ORGANIC-INORGANIC COMPOSITE FILLER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/039169
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an organic-inorganic composite filler that contains: inorganic aggregate particles formed by the aggregation of inorganic primary particles with an average particle diameter of 10 to 1000 nm; a cured polymer of a polymerizable monomer wherein the surfaces of the inorganic primary particles are covered and the inorganic primary particles are bonded to each other; organic resin phases containing a water-absorbable resin; and aggregation gaps having a volume of micropores, which form between the organic resin phases, of 0.01 to 0.30 cm3/g in pore volume measurements at a pore diameter range of 1 to 500 nm, as measured by the mercury intrusion technique. In a cross section through which the centers of the inorganic aggregate particles pass, using 100 measured inorganic particles as a benchmark, there are less than ten inorganic aggregate particles having macro voids with a maximum width of at least 1 μm. The present invention also discloses a method for producing the organic-inorganic composite filler.
