Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an organic light emitting element which comprises a positive electrode, a light emitting layer, a first organic compound layer that is in contact with the light emitting layer, and a negative electrode in this order, wherein: the light emitting layer contains a host material and a guest material; the host material is a hydrocarbon compound which is composed only of SP2 carbon and is presented by one of general formulae (1-1) to (1-6) (wherein each of Ar1 and Ar2 independently represents an anthracene residue, a phenanthrene residue or the like; the Ar1 and Ar2 moieties may additionally have a phenyl group or the like; and each of R1, R2 to R8 independently represents a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group); the guest material is a luminescent material which comprises a fluoranthene skeleton; and the first organic compound layer contains a compound which has at least one tricyclic to pentacyclic fused polycyclic hydrocarbon skeleton.
