Abstract:
An organic photoelectric conversion element which has a base nucleus having high electron-accepting properties and capable of absorbing light ranging to long-wavelength light in order to efficiently absorb light throught the spectrum of sunlight; a solar cell made using this organic photoelectric conversion element; and a light sensor array. The organic photoelectric conversion element comprises a transparent electrode, a counter electrode, and a bulk heterojunction layer comprising a mixture of a p-type semiconductor material and an n-type semiconductor material, and is characterized in that the bulk heterojunction layer contains a compound having a partial structure represented by general formula (1).
(In the formula, X1 represents an (un)substituted, 5- or 6-membered, heteroaromatic ring.)
