Title:
ORGANIC PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT AND SOLAR CELL USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/151142
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: an organic photoelectric conversion element which has excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency and is capable of exhibiting sufficient durability; and a solar cell which uses the organic photoelectric conversion element. [Solution] An organic photoelectric conversion element which sequentially comprises a first electrode, a bulk heterojunction photoelectric conversion layer, a hole transport layer and a second electrode in this order. The first electrode contains a nanostructure, which has a work function as determined by ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy of more than 4.3 eV, and surface modification molecules, which have a dipole moment and are adsorbed on the surface of the nanostructure. The work function of the first electrode is smaller than the work function of the nanostructure by 0.2 eV or more, and is smaller than the work function of the hole transport layer by 0.7 eV or more.
