Abstract:
An organic photoelectric conversion element which is provided with a first electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer that contains a compound represented by formula (I), and a second electrode; an organic thin film solar cell; a composition used in the organic photoelectric conversion element; a coating film; a compound; and a method for producing the compound. In the formula, Ar represents an arylene group, a heteroarylene group or a combination thereof; X represents S, O, Se, Te, -N(R1)- or -C(R2)(R3)-; R1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heteroaryl group; each of R2 and R3 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heteroaryl group, or R2 and R3 may combine together to form a ring structure; Y represents an electron-withdrawing group that has a Hammett substituent constant (σm) of more than 0.50; and n represents an integer of 2-2,000.
