Title:
ORIENTATION DIRECTION DETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/047548
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An orientation direction detection device (11) has: an excitation coil (31) that applies an AC magnetic field to an object (1) under investigation; magnetic field sensors (41a, 41b) that are positioned in locations in which a constant positional relationship with regard to the excitation coil (31) is maintained, detect an induced magnetic field, and output voltages corresponding to the induced magnetic field; a conveyance device (10) that moves at least one of the object under investigation and a sensor unit including the excitation coil and the magnetic field sensors; and a control unit (110) that controls the excitation coil (31), the magnetic field sensors (41a, 41b), and the conveyance device (10). The control unit (110) limits, on the basis of a radial direction spatial frequency, the bandwidth of the distribution of voltages outputted from the magnetic field sensors (41a, 41b), said radial direction spatial frequency corresponding to the sizes of the magnetic field sensors and the distances between the magnetic field sensors and the object under investigation, converts the bandwidth-limited distribution of voltages into a waveform of output strength by spatial angle in the radial direction spatial frequency, and calculates a peak angle, which is a peak location of the waveform, as an orientation angle (θ) indicating orientation direction.
