Abstract:
Provided are an oriented body and a technique relating to the same, the oriented body including particles of a platinum-group-substituted ε iron oxide such as Rh-substituted ε iron oxide or Ru-substituted ε iron oxide and being suitable for MAMR, MIMR, or F-MIMR. Provided are an oriented body and a technique relating to the same, the oriented body including, as magnetic particles, particles of a platinum-group-substituted ε iron oxide in which a portion of the ε iron oxide is substituted by at least one species of platinum-group element, the coercivity of the oriented body exceeding 31 kOe, and the value of the degree of orientation of the magnetic particles exceeding 5.0 as defined by the expression: Degree of orientation = SQ (Direction of easy axis of magnetization)/SQ (Direction of hard axis of magnetization).
