Abstract:
With conventional orthodontics, a fixed period has been required up until correction is actually performed on a treatment subject's dentition. Furthermore, with mouthpiece-based correction alone, there have been cases that are problematic and cases that are impossible. In this method of preparing an orthodontic bracket for a treatment subject and this orthodontic method utilizing said orthodontic bracket, the orthodontic bracket is constituted by orthodontic-wire insertion tubes and orthodontic bracket main units, wherein: the orthodontic-wire insertion tubes are placed on the central recesses in a treatment subject's molar occlusal surfaces; and the orthodontic bracket is formed by thickly layering dental resin from above the orthodontic-wire insertion tubes and curing the resin, and furthermore, slicing the anterior and posterior ends of the orthodontic bracket to expose openings at both ends of the orthodontic-wire insertion tube, thereby forming through-holes through which the orthodontic wire is inserted. Due to the foregoing, the period up until correction is performed is shortened, and the shortcomings stemming from mouthpiece correction can be compensated.
