Abstract:
This orthodontic bracket (1) has: a body (10); a shutter (20); a stopper pin (30) that is fixed to the body (10); and a positioning member (40) that is separate from the stopper pin (30). An override protrusion (51), a closing wall section (52), and an opening wall section (53) are provided on a lower surface of the shutter (20). The positioning member (40) has a connection section (41) and a positioning piece (42) that can be elastically displaced. When shifting the shutter (20) from a closed state to an open state, the positioning piece (42) climbs over the override protrusion (51) to move from the closing wall section (52) to the opening wall section (53), while the stopper pin (30) contacts the connection section (41) to block the displacement of the positioning member (40) with respect to the body (10) in a direction away from an arch wire slot (11).
