Abstract:
The present invention relates to an orthodontic bracket, and the orthodontic bracket according to the present invention comprises: a body (100) including a base part (110) having one surface fixed to a tooth, a first extension part (120) and a second extension part (130) which are spaced apart from each other and from the base part (110) and extend in directions away from one surface of the base part (110), and a slot(140) which is formed between the first extension part (120) and the second extension part (130) and in which a wire is inserted; an operation part (200) which is coupled to the body (100) to open and close the slot (140) while sliding in face of the second extension part (130); a protrusion part (300) which is formed on one of the body (100) and the operation part (200) so as to protrude toward the other one of the body (100) and the operation part (200); a recessed part (400) which is formed to be recessed in the other one of the body (100) and the operation part (200) such that the protrusion (300) is inserted and slides when the operation part (200) slides; an elastic member (500) which is inserted in a reception space (310) formed in the protrusion part (300), of which an end protrudes from the protrusion part (300) toward the recessed part (400), and which is formed in a plate shape or as a wire member to apply elastic force toward the recessed part (400); and a groove part (600) formed to be recessed in the recessed part (400) such that the elastic member (500) is inserted thereinto, extending in the direction in which the operation part (200) slides, and including connection parts (610) and stopping parts (620 and 630) recessed deeper than the connection parts (610) at opposite ends of each connection part (610), wherein the elastic member (500) is bent such that the curvature thereof increases when ends thereof (530 and 540) is in contact with the connection part (610), and is unbent such that the curvature decreases when the ends (530 and 540) are inserted into the stopping parts (620 and 630).
