Abstract:
The invention relates to an orthosis and to a method for the production thereof. The orthosis comprises a first support section (12) and at least one further support section (14) that form a three-dimensionally formed support body (19). The support sections (12, 14) are designed to rest on the patient and to support limbs or body areas on the patient. The orthosis also comprises fixing means which engage on the support body (19) and which are used for fixing the orthosis on the patient. The support body (19) comprising the first and at least one further support section (12, 14) consists of a reinforcing structure (21) that comprises a support layer (23) onto which at least one reinforcing thread (26) is sewn. A pattern layout of the at least one reinforcing thread (26) is provided in an oriented manner along force lines correspondingly to the stresses that occur in the support body (19). The pattern layout of the at least one reinforcing thread (26) lies within a surface (27) on the support layer (23), said surface corresponding to a two-dimensional pattern layout of the three-dimensionally formed support body (19), and the three-dimensionally deformed reinforcing structure (21) which is soaked with a curable base material forms the support body (19).
