The present application relates to the technical field of washing devices, and in particular, to an OTA updating assistance apparatus, a motor drive board, and a washing device, for use in improving the safety when a washing device performs an OTA function. The OTA updating assistance apparatus comprises a current-limiting circuit; the input end of the current-limiting circuit is connected to the output end of a power plug of a washing device, and the output end of the current-limiting circuit is connected to the input end of a rectifier circuit of a motor drive board, so that the current-limiting circuit is connected in parallel to a first switch unit. When a controller executes an OTA function, the first switch unit is disconnected, the power plug outputs a current to the current-limiting circuit, and the current-limiting circuit limits a current output from the power plug to the rectifier circuit, so that the limited current is greater than a current required for operation of a switch power supply and less than a current required for operation of the motor. Thus, the safety when performing the OTA function is improved.
