Abstract:
The other-lane monitoring device according to the present disclosure is equipped with an other-vehicle information acquisition unit (S110), a trajectory acquisition unit (S130), a lane estimation unit (S140), and a location estimation unit (S170). The other-vehicle information acquisition unit is configured to acquire other-vehicle location information indicating the current location of an other vehicle around a host vehicle. The trajectory acquisition unit is configured to acquire a host vehicle travel trajectory that represents a trajectory previously traveled by the host vehicle. The lane estimation unit is configured to estimate, on the basis of the host vehicle travel trajectory, an other-lane region including an other lane different from the host lane, which is the lane in which the host vehicle is located. The location estimation unit is configured to estimate a future location of the other vehicle indicated by the other-vehicle location information, assuming that the other vehicle will travel along the host vehicle travel trajectory or the other-lane region.
